Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of CarouselSmith (the “service”) at carouselsmith.com. By creating an account you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

1. Your account

You need an account to create carousels. Keep your login secure; you're responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live.

2. Your content and your rights to it

• You keep ownership of everything you put in: topics, text, article excerpts, photos, logos, and your name and likeness.
• You are responsible for having the rights to what you put in. Don't paste or upload material you aren't allowed to use, and when you import an article that isn't yours, transform it rather than republish it, and credit the source where appropriate.
• You give us a limited license to store and process your content only to run the service for you: generating, rendering, and delivering your carousels.

3. What you create

Carousels and files you download are yours to use, including commercially: post them, use them for clients, or sell them. The templates, fonts, and software remain ours (or our licensors'); you may use them inside your exported files but not resell them as templates or a competing tool. AI-written text can be wrong or resemble other text; review it before publishing. You are responsible for what you publish.

4. Free and Pro plans

• Creating and editing is free within the limits on the pricing page. Free accounts get 1 watermarked download.
• Pro is $12/month or $99/year, billed in advance through our payment provider and merchant of record, Polar, which handles payment, tax, invoices, and receipts.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your account page; you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
• “Unlimited” downloads are subject to fair use (200 a month), and generation has daily and monthly limits. These exist to keep the service fast and affordable for everyone; we may change limits with notice.
• Downloaded files are kept for 7 days, then deleted. Your carousels stay in your dashboard, and Pro accounts can download them again anytime.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use the service to:

• create unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or deceptive content;
• infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights;
• impersonate people or organizations;
• probe, overload, scrape, or work around limits or security of the service, including using the article import to reach systems you aren't allowed to.

We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

6. The service

We work to keep CarouselSmith available and your data safe, but the service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, including that output will be accurate, unique, or perform on social media. We never post on your behalf and never ask for your LinkedIn login. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

7. Ending your account

You can delete your account anytime from the account page; this deletes your carousels, brand kit, uploads, and files, and ends any subscription. We may close accounts that violate these terms.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. For material changes we'll tell you by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the service means you accept the new terms.
